Tata Nano Twist Active Spotted – EPS and AMT to be offered for beating Maruti Alto, Wagon R and Hyundai i10
Tata Motors has revealed the facelift edition of the Nano at this year’s Delhi Auto Expo which was held in the month of February. The new edition is going to sport ‘Auto Manual Transmission’ which has been considered as the most significant feature of Maruti Suzuki’s Celerio hatch back. As per the information, Tata is likely to dub the model into the market as Nano Twist Active.
A test mule of the upcoming Nano Twist Active has been caught while it was being tested on Indian roads. The respective test mule was captured in a video and it was later revealed over web. The facelift edition Nano seems to be having unique and refreshed design along with the addition several exclusive features. As we could observe from the spy images and video, the front fascia of the model gets a brand new ‘smiley’ shaped front bumper. A set of fog lamps are positioned at the ends of the front bumper. A set of turn indicators are positioned just above the head lights which have black coloured surroundings and also have clear lenses.
The rear end gets the same smiley shaped grille and a set of tail lights are located on both the sides just like in the former edition. The most significant change on the rear end is the availability of boot hatch door that can be opened. This is the first time that a Nano variant has such feasibility and the key hole on the hatch door clarifies the same. Tata has also equipped the Twist Active with a brand new three spoke Electronic Power Steering for the first time after Nano Twist XT. The interiors of the hatch back have also changed and the dash board gets a revised centre console.

Tata has not confirmed the engine specs of the model so far but we could expect the 5 speed Auto Manual transmission with the model for sure. However, we must wait for few months more to find out more about the Nano Twist Active.
